I am continuing to refine the Manhood Rite of Passage journey. The following is an outline of the curriculum. I definitely want your feedback! Give the good, bad, and the ugly. Additionally, this is also a request for mentors!

Before we jump in, consider becoming a paid subscriber (any day now Mom!). It is more than just a blessing to us, it’s a partnership. Your support enables our family/community to thrive, not just survive. We hope to grow our impact, respond with more timely content, do more book/movie reviews, as well as increase our community engagement.

Whether you subscribe or not, we are thankful you're here. Conversations are the lifeblood of community. It is my hope and desire for us to converse on important topics and find a way to live life more abundantly.

Thank you to Aunt Joyce for being our first paid subscriber in February! You are helping Johnna and I close the gap on our 2024 goal of 50 (total) paid subscribers for the year. Your subscription not only sustains this platform but ensures that we can continue to explore, learn, and share together. Your investment in Kingdom growth is a blessing to our life!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am extending an invitation for you to embark on my son’s transformative journey to manhood. Be a part of our family ministry by shaping his future and molding his character. This is not for the faint of heart.

This is for men and women who:

  • Think for themselves

  • Know their ‘why’

  • Life is oriented on and driven by their purpose

  • Have formulated thoughtful conclusions on how the world works

  • Are confident enough in themselves to critique and offer feedback

  • Live with the conviction that their existence, as does everyone’s, matters in the world

I am looking for mentors who have authentic answers to life’s questions (or they are at least searching for answers)1:

Why are you here? Why do you exist?

What are you willing to die for (ideas, convictions, persons, etc.)?

If you are interested in legacy building, fostering resilience, and sculpting character, I’d love your participation regardless of faith background. To clarify, yes we are looking for female mentors to help with the manhood journey. I am not looking for subject matter experts but rather folks who are authentic to themselves.

One other thing I am need of are some book recommendations, please comment below on the books that have been most influential in shaping your life.

What We Ask of Mentors

  1. Commitment and intentionality:

  • Three to four phones calls a year, for three years.

  • Engage in meaningful conversations, sharing insights, and listening to his aspirations and challenges.

  • Provide guidance rooted in your life experiences and wisdom.

  1. Read and discuss his ideas:

  • Explore his identity paper, business plans, and reflections on Christian manhood.

  • Share your perspectives, enriching his understanding of manhood.

  1. Provide your perspective on manhood:

  • Offer reflections on your own journey, highlighting the virtues and lessons learned.

  • Share your vision of manhood and the principles that have guided you.

For more details on your expectations and responsibilities, see the details below in the curriculum.

How to Join

Simply express your interest by reaching out to us (text, email, IG, FB, comment on this post, etc.). Your commitment to a few calls a year and engagement in thoughtful discussions will leave an indelible mark on our son’s life.

This is obviously more than mentoring; it's an investment in a legacy. By joining, you contribute to the development of a resilient, purpose-driven man prepared to navigate the complexities of life with hope, faith, and love. He will impact the world and you can be apart of that!
